The Santa Cruz Natural History Museum showcases the region's natural evironments and pre-mission days Ohlone Indian culture. There are exhibits of the various habitats found along the Circle Trail, a tidepool touch tank, a dig-a-fossil exhibit, and the only pre-mission Ohlone artifacts and displays in the Santa Cruz area.

But the Museum's star attraction is a life-size sculpture of a California Gray Whale, free for climbing by kids (of all ages). (open Tuesday thru Sunday, 10-5. Phone 831-429-3760).
