The Santa Cruz Natural History Museum showcases the region’s natural environments and pre-mission days Ohlone Indian culture. There are exhibits of the various habitats found along the Circle Trail, a tide-pool touch tank, a dig-a-fossil exhibit, and the only pre-mission Ohlone artifacts and displays in the Santa Cruz area.
But the Museum’s star attraction is a life-size sculpture of a California Gray Whale, free for climbing by kids (of all ages).
